Protect Your Card Page

Credit card protection

  • Sign your card as soon as your receive it.
  • Make a note of your credit card number, and keep it in a safe place, separate from your credit card.
  • Treat your card as you would your cash, and keep it in a safe place.
  • Fill in the "Total" box on the purchase slip to avoid the possibility of any amount being added to your purchases.
  • Ensure that your card is returned to you directly after the transaction is complete.
  • Keep your receipt so that you can check it against your monthly statement.
  • Do not forget to retrieve your card from the ATM after use.

PIN protection

  • Destroy your PIN after committing it to memory.
  • Do not allow anyone else to use your card or PIN.
  • Do not write down your PIN and store the number in close proximity to your card.
  • Do not make your PIN based on your ID number or date of birth, or use any other number that would be easily guessed.
  • For maximum safety, change your PIN regularly.
  • When making transactions, take care that you do not reveal your PIN to anyone. If this does happen, change your PIN immediately.
