Payment Collectibility Status

  1. Current
  2. AIs a condition where payment of HSBC Credit Card outstanding is on time and no arrears that exceed the Due Date. If there is usage that exceeds the credit limit but the status of credit card is current, then Bank will send a notification via SMS (Short Message Services).

  3. Special Mention
  4. Is a condition where payment of HSBC Credit Card outstanding is yet to be done between 1 - 89 calendar days after the Due Date. In this condition, Bank may charge Administration Fee (eg. Late Payment Fee and Overlimit Fee), apply higher interest rates, perform collection attempt, cancel HSBC Credit Card facility and/ or bill the installment balance which has not being billed and paid in full

  5. Substandard
  6. Is a condition where payment of HSBC Credit Card outstanding is still yet to be done between 90 - 119 calendar days after Due Date. In this condition, Bank may charge Administration Fee, apply higher interest rates, perform collection attempt and permanently cancel HSBC Credit Card facility.

  7. Doubtful
  8. Is a condition where payment of HSBC Credit Card outstanding is still yet to be done between 120 - 179 calendar days after the Due Date. In this condition, Bank will implement more intensive collection efforts via SMS and/ or telephone and/ or field officers and/ or third parties.

  9. Bad
  10. If payment of HSBC Credit Card outstanding still has not been done more than 180 calendar days after the Due Date, Bank is entitled to collect in any manner that is considered appropriate by the Bank including by phone and/ or field officers and/ or third parties and/ or law enforcement agencies and/ or a judicial authorities.
